MidSouth Bank is making a national award-winning financial literacy program available at no cost to Baton Rouge students.

Banzai is a web-based program in which students get their own accounts and work through assignments based on real life to help them learn to manage their personal finances, a news release said.

Skills learned include paying bills; balancing a budget; and managing unexpected expenses such as parking tickets, interest charges and overdraft fees. The program also introduces auto loans, bank statements, entertainment costs, savings and more.

Teachers interested in using Banzai can visit bankmidsouth.teachbanzai.com or call (888) 822-6924.
